Get ready for the first edition of the AWS Unicorn Sports League, in association with YourStory and Playo. This is an amazing opportunity for startup sports enthusiasts to take the field with some of their peers from other startups. 

This sporting event is for those techies with a sporting spirit, who want to have fun while indulging in some healthy competition. So whether you’re a founder / CXO, a tech team member at a startup or someone who loves to cheer your colleagues, head over here to participate.

CRICKET 6 ON 6

The shorter, quicker and action filled version of Cricket will be played with 6 players on each side on artificial turf.

FOOTBALL 5 ON 5

Football matches will be played on artificial turf on 5-a-side sized fields. Joga Bonito in the true sense!

Rules and Regulations

Tournament Rules:

Reporting Time : 9:00 AM
  • 5 Players on each side, 3 substitutes allowed
  • 8 mins a half-game time
  • League cum knockout format
  • Goalkeeper change is allowed, but only during any stoppage
  • No throw-ins, the ball is kicked in if it goes out of play
  • Rough play will be penalised
  • Referee's decision is final and binding
  • General 5-a-side football rules will apply unless mentioned above or on the day of the event
  • 6 Players on each side, 2 substitutes allowed
  • Matches will be played with a Vicky Tennis Ball (yellow)
  • A league cum knockout format will be followed
  • 6 overs each side
  • A bowler may bowl a maximum of 2 overs per inning
  • Bowler will stand and deliver, no run-up allowed
  • Ball has to pitch ahead of the centerline otherwise it will be considered as a NO BALL
  • No under-arm ball allowed
  • NO BALLS and WIDES will not be counted as official balls and 1 run will be scored by the opposing team
  • Wicket keepers are allowed to change
