A: You can register for the Buildathon by clicking the "Register Now" button on the event page, which links to a Google Form for registration.
Q: What is the deadline for applications?
A: The deadline for applications is February 26th. Make sure to submit your application by this date to secure your spot.
Q: Is there any cost associated with participating in the Buildathon?
A: No, participation in the YourStory Generative AI Buildathon is completely free of cost. Simply register and join us for an exhilarating journey of creation and collaboration.
Q: Are there any restrictions on the technologies or tools we can use?
A: While we encourage innovation and creativity, projects must comply with ethical guidelines and use legally available tools and technologies.
Q: What policies are in place to ensure a fair and inclusive environment?
A: The Buildathon adheres to a strict code of conduct promoting respect, inclusivity, and fairness. Any form of harassment or unethical behaviour will result in disqualification.
Q: Can I work on any project I want?
A: While participants are encouraged to bring their unique ideas, projects should align with one of the predetermined challenge themes presented at the Buildathon.
Q: What are the themes of the challenges?
A:The specific themes, workflows, and domains for the challenges will be revealed on the day of the Buildathon to sprinkle some mystery and excitement. However, the general challenge themes include AI Film Contest, AI in Design & Aesthetics, AI Chatbot, Smart Agents, and Wildcard Wonders.
Q: Where will I join a team?
A: On March 6th, you will be onboarded to a Discord server along with other contestants. From here, you'll have 24 hours to create or join a team. To encourage interaction, there will also be a Zoom meeting where all contestants will be split into breakout rooms. You can make or join a team here as well. Pro tip: Don't be shy. Make the best out of your opportunity to interact :)
Q: Can I join more than one team?
A: Participants are allowed to be part of only one team to ensure full commitment and equitable distribution of team members.
Q: What happens if I can't find a team?
A: Organisers will assist in team formation during the meet-up event. Efforts will be made to ensure that all interested participants are placed in a team.
Q: How do we submit our project?
A: Project submission guidelines, including the format and platform for submission, will be provided well before the submission deadline.
Q: What criteria will be used to judge the projects?
A: Projects will be judged based on innovation, practical application, technical complexity, design, and presentation. A detailed rubric will be shared before the Buildathon begins.
