WSE is a multi-event initiative by UAE based Venture Capitalist firm Cocoon Ventures with a vision to bring together Start-ups, Aspiring Entrepreneurs, Investors, Incubators, and Accelerators from across the globe to collaborate, network & showcase their vision. WSE seeks to provide a supportive & sustainable platform for emerging businesses through various programs included in its charter but not limited to, such as funding, mentoring, transforming business ideas into practical business models etc.
The first edition in 2016 saw a massive gathering of over 300+startup exhibitors, thousands of entrepreneurs, leading technology providers, investors, thought leaders policy makers and influencers with a vast panel of national and international speakers confluence at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) in Bengaluru, for over 3 days. The mega expo saw a 3-day expo, day conference; four master classes conducted over 2 days, a 36-hour coding challenge – World Tech Hackathon, pitch competitions and WSE awards – all under one roof!
